Altaïr's short blade is the piece most people picture when they think of the first Assassin's Creed — a compact, straight-edged sidearm rather than a showpiece longsword, which is exactly what makes it sit well on a shelf beside a hidden-blade replica. It suits a desk or a cabinet more than a wall mount.
